Whilst Border Collies have been in our family for many generations, with both my father and grandfather having this lovely breed, I became involved in obedience trialling in 1989, with my first border collie Sasha. In 1995 we purchased our first show border collie. Not only were we involved in obedience trialling, we soon began showing and then later breeding.

The name "Sashdan" was made in memory of my first border collie Sasha.

The first four letters of the name came from her name "Sash", and the last three letters came from my name "dan".

Our dogs have successfully gained many Obedience titles, Australian Championship titles and have also made some people very happy as family pets. Our stud dogs have sired many Obedience titled, and show titled progeny in Australia and around the world. They have also appeared on television, in newspapers, appeared in advertising on the internet and featured in hard covered books.
